Headley Bowling Club

As you can see from the picture above taken on 29th March, Headley Bowling Green is looking magnificent and is beckoning us all to come and play on it. The opening of the green takes place on Sunday 13th April and if the current weather continues as it has been recently, it will hopefully be a fine start to the season.

To all those thinking of taking up Bowls or those already who bowl and are considering playing at Headley; everyone is welcome to come and play whatever their level of ability. We are always happy to see new members, either playing or social. Just contact any of the committee members shown on this website and we can arrange for you to come down if you want to have a go. We also are arranging an open day on Sunday 11th May so please come along then if you prefer to wait. All we ask is that you bring along Trainers or soft soled flat shoes to wear on the green in order to protect it.

One thing we will all notice this year is the major refurbishment taking place to the Pavilion. Work is due to commence this month so it will be sealed off from everyone while the builders work on it. To this end, our entrance will be at the far end of the green, just follow the signposts. The green is usually open daily from 2pm, (to allow the green to dry out in the morning ready for bowling).

We have prepared temporary facilities for changing and hospitality for this season whilst the Pavilion refurbishment is taking place.

Club team selection is imminent and draws for our internal competitions should soon occur.

Members will be notified as soon as this happens.
